Two pigeons in the gallery (2019)
Costumes (mixed media), illustration and performance
Oringally conceived for the exhibition “Flight Sketches – For Bert Theis“.
Inspired by Bert Theis’s idea of the dirty cube, these pigeons were a way to “dirty” the space of the exhibition.
Pigeons are often considered unwelcome guests but how lonely would a city be without them?
This work invites the visitors to wear the costumes to become pigeons in the gallery and imitate their walk and flight.
